The two steps of Salvation:
The first step towards salvation is to realise that you are a sinner who is in need of a Saviour. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" and in 1John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves". And in Acts 4:12 it says: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." so we know that salvation is necessary and is only through Jesus! Once you have accepted this concept then you are ready for step two.
The second step is to simply accept Jesus into your life and heart by saying a simple prayer acknowledging Him and inviting Him to come in and be your Lord and Saviour. Revelations 3:20 says: "...if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." and Rom 10:9 says: "Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved."
So if you accept that you are in need of a Saviour and that you are ready to invite Him into your life then simply pray this prayer:
Dear Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I don't deserve to go to Heaven. I believe that You died on the cross and rose again after three days so that I may have eternal salvation through You. Please come into my life and give me Your free gift of salvation. Help me to read your Word every day and to share your love with others. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer with a believing heart then Jesus has come into your life and your life will be different forever! The next step is to get yourself a Bible and read some of it every day, then find a Bible believing Church in your area and fellowship with other Christians regularly.
